Over a two to three day period, technicians from Greenius will:

• Insulate and caulk (stop the leaks – your 20+ year old home or building likely leaks about ¾ of your conditioned air every hour right now), using spray foam insulation (from ComfortRX) in the attic and basement, combined with batt insulation.
• Seal exposed ductwork.
• Clean and inspect your furnace and AC.
• Caulk and weatherstrip around doors and windows.
• Fireplace balloon.
• Install (and program) a programmable thermostat.
• Install wall plug gaskets and outlet covers.
• Wrap the water heater.
• Wrap exposed hot water pipes.
• Install CFL or LED light bulbs.
• Education stickers and booklet
• Ongoing monitoring – we don’t get paid unless you are saving. 

We may also recommend replacement of your furnace, air conditioner, water heater and/or refrigerator, if a new one would pay for itself in energy savings in five years or less.

Under the agreement, your gas and electric bills are fixed at their current amounts (we will annually adjust for inflation). 

In other words, if you currently spend $300 a month on average for gas and electric combined, we will set your bill at $300 monthly.

Under this example, you would send us (electronically) $300 per month, and a copy of your gas and electric bills (you can have us copied on email notifications from the utility).  Greenius then pays the gas and electric bills, and we apply the rest toward the debt, until we are paid.

You would also assign to us all government and utility rebates and subsidies.

After Greenius has made your house energy efficient (reduced the loads) we can install solar photovoltaic panels and hot water panels, either on the roof, if you have a newer roof with a South orientation, or we can build our Greenius structure in the back yard.

If you sell your home or business, we will transfer our agreement to the new owner, should they qualify and agree.

The charge from Greenius for the comprehensive energy retrofit is $6,000, of which $2,500 is paid through federal, state, local, and utility rebates.  The remaining $3,500 is paid for through energy savings over the next four years.  The savings after that are yours to keep.
